Trinity Students Speak at
St. Matthew's Parish

Special thanks to Msgr. Walter and St. Matthew Church for having two of our students share about their Catholic educational experiences at Trinity.

Lindsay Calise spoke at the 9am Mass and Jack Smith spoke at the 10:30am Mass.

Great job Lindsay & Jack, we are very proud of you!
On August 31st, a gorgeous Saturday, Matthew Dougherty led a team of 33 participants who worked to beautify and clean up the TCHS courtyard to create the "Crusader Spirit Garden". This project completes a critical element on the road to BSA Eagle Scout, the Eagle Scout project. One of the requirements for Eagle Scout is to conceive, plan, receive approvals and execute to satisfaction, a project from end-to-end. Pat Brady, Head of School, was the sponsor and beneficiary of Matthew's Eagle project.

Working hard on and off the field, were 22 Crusader football players. Looking good in a scrimmage against ATI that morning on Gaglio Field, members of the team, Coach Broschardt and Peggy Feldt, headed straight over to the TCHS courtyard to work for several more hours. They planted over 25 new plantings, created a Rosary garden, planted a rose garden in honor of retired and beloved TCHS favorite, Ms. O'Connell, weeded and cleaned up neglected areas. The team also hauled and spread over 4 yards of mulch, generously donated by Joseph Golia Services, located on Vasser Ave. in Stamford. Cross stencils were lovingly painted by Maggie Carlon. Several other TCHS Seniors arrived to help with clean up.

Pat Brady gave Matthew and the crew a "Thumbs Up" on a job well done. Matthew and the participants hope that this is the beginning of creating a space that students and faculty can enjoy, find a peaceful place to reflect and a place that enhances school spirit.

Special thanks to Craig Lanzoni with Cos Cob Archers for coming in today and teaching some of our students the basics of archery.

Mr. Smith has requested that Craig return in a few weeks for another session with more students.

Required Forms for All Students

Please send in all Parent & Student Internet Permission forms that were mailed home. Your child can bring them to the main office.

Instead of the large summer mailing with lots of forms to fill out, we switched to online forms this year. Most of you have already completed these mandatory forms, but if you have not, please do so as soon as possible by clicking here.  If you have forgotten your login information, please contact Cindy Willette at
Together As One

The TCHS Crusader football team showed up together to help the Fr. Grasso and St Leo’s parishioners clean up the St. Leo fairgrounds after a very successful 5 day event. There were more than 15 Crusaders, including our Wright Tech teammates, to take down signs, move heavy equipment, and pick up garbage.  Coach Broschardt and his team worked several hours on Sunday September 1st over their Labor Day holiday weekend to give back to their community. It’s this commitment to others that binds our team, our school and our community.
The Girl's Soccer team held a Car Wash fundraiser last week, great job girls!
Where’s Deacon Michael?

So this week, the prayer life of the school has continued, but its shepherd is away for a very special reason. As part of preparation for receiving Holy Orders, the Bishop has the job of ensuring candidates are spiritually prepared. So, one of the questions he will ask me is, have you undertaken your ‘canonical retreat’? So what does ‘canonical’ mean? Well, it means that the retreat is mandated by Canon Law – the Church’s own legal system, which is the oldest in continual use in the world.
