Community Input Meeting for Canterbury Park Playground

The Crystal Lake Park District is working with School District 47 to re-invigorate the playground at Canterbury Park which services Canterbury School and the surrounding community and more! We plan to completely renovate the park with new play equipment including new 2-5 and 5-12 play equipment, swings and benches – much fun for all!

Crystal Lake Community Clean Up Day

The Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce and the Crystal Lake Park District have joined forces to host Community Clean-Up Day!

Sat, Apr 26 from 8-11 am!

8:00 AM – 9:00 AM at McCormick Park:

Volunteers, check in here to receive your park assignment, pick up clean-up supplies, enjoy a morning treat, and grab your lunch coupons provided by our generous sponsors before heading out to clean!

8:00 AM – 11:00 AM outside the Crystal Lake Chamber Office (427 W. Virginia St, on King Street side):

Prescription drug disposal with the Crystal Lake Police Department

Electronics recycling

Paper shredding (Limit: 2 banker’s boxes or copy paper-sized boxes per person)

This fun activity combines baggo and baseball!

Names will be put in a hat to form teams. Lunch provided: sub sandwiches, chips, cookies and drink. No experience needed, all you need to be able to do is throw a beanbag 20 ft.

The batting cages at Lippold Park are now OPEN for the season!

The batting cage system features four token-operated dual function cages with fastpitch baseball and slow pitch softball in every tunnel. Tokens can be purchased at the batting cages for $1 for 10 balls. The token machine accepts $1, $5, $10 and $20 bills.

Call 815.459.0680 ext. 333 for general batting cage information. During regular office hours, (8:30 am-5 pm, M-F) contact Ian Booker at Ibooker@crystallakeparks.org for batting cage group reservations and information.

Lake Usage Decals, Boat Launch Key Fobs & Watercraft Dry Storage Stalls (very limited number of stalls still available) will be available for for purchase beginning April 1at at the Crystal Lake Park District Admin. Office, 1 E. Crystal Lake, IL.
