It is important to the Crystal Lake Park District that parks and facilities are able to be used by people of all abilities. The Park District completed a Transition Plan for existing parks and facilities in 2009, as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This resulted in many accessibility improvements in parks and facilities being completed over the past several years.
The Park District has retained The W-T Group, LLC (WTG) Accessibility Practice to help complete an update to the transition plan and public feedback opportunities meet an ADA requirement as part of this process. The Park District invites feedback regarding Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)compliance as part of the update efforts.
One of the ADA Transition Plan requirements is to seek public feedback on access priorities and preferences. This helps the District better understand what is important to the community
