Pastoral Note

I am pleased to introduce our next Pastoral Resident and Director of Youth Ministry, Daniel Turpin! Let me tell you about our residency program and Daniel.

The purpose of our pastoral residency is to prepare young adults for a lifetime of ordained, pastoral leadership. Each resident oversees a vital ministry of the church. Jesse Perl, a pastoral resident, directs our outreach ministries. He has done an excellent job and will be ordained as a Deacon in November. Daniel will direct our youth ministry. He has experience in youth ministry, as well as overseas mission work. I am eager for you to meet him and his family.

About 25 years ago, I benefited from a program similar to our pastoral residency. I was a young, aspiring clergy. I served on staff at a healthy and growing church (The Falls Church Anglican). As I served, I watched and learned. My role then prepared me for my responsibilities now. And now, as our church approaches its 20th anniversary, we consider it our responsibility and joy to do the same.

Warmly,
David
