INTERNATIONAL WALK TO SCHOOL DAY A SUCCESS!

Thank you to all the students and parents who walked to school last Wednesday! You joined families from more than 20 countries walk to school to promote a healthy start to the day, a ZERO emission mode of transportation, reduce traffic and help your child be more prepared to learn (as studies show).

Thank you to Jen York, the Wellness Committee and the City of Calabasas for all of your fabulous coordinating to make this event a safe success!

We hope our school community has been inspired to Walk to School more often!

WHAT: Fall Festival

WHEN: Sunday, Oct. 27th - 11am-4pm

WHERE: Chaparral Upper Yard

J oin your fellow CUBS for a day of fun family festivities! There will be carnival rides and games, live DJ, and great food, including In-N-Out Burger, Uncle Chris' Italian Ice, and Fresh Brothers Pizza. Participate in awesome activities, including cookie decorating, freeze dance, mummy wrap contest, costume contest, make your own Halloween slime, make-up and hair booth, face painting, pie eating, and Chaparral's favorite Cake Walk. Also visit the pumpkin patch and bid on amazing auction baskets.

Monday, Oct. 21: Dog Haus

Let's be Frank, cooking for your kids is the Wurst. Relish the night off and Ketchup with your friends and family. Since school is out MONDAY, October 21, 2019, join us and be the big Wiener! I mean winner. Dog Haus will donate 20% of net sales back to Chaparral!

Box Tops

Keep collecting and turning in all of those tops! The 1st Box Tops Contest will end on Friday, October 25, 2019 . Be sure to write your child’s name and teacher name to enter the contest! All of the Box Tops collected will be added to an ongoing tally for each class AND family throughout the school year!

BINGO IS BACK!

Bingo was such a success this summer, so The Foundation is teaming up with Caruso properties again. Come play with us on Sunday, October 13th from 4-6pm at The Commons at Calabasas. It's a great way to spend the afternoon! We will have prizes, food and entertainment. And - all proceeds go to LVUSD.

Just a reminder that the Free and Reduced Lunch Program is available to all qualifying families. This is completely confidential and is now online for enhanced privacy and security. Filling out the application online will not only provide nutrition services to your student(s), but will help the District comply with new regulations from the state and ensure our district receives necessary funding.
