Thank you to our donors, volunteers and supporters!

In partnership with the International Fellowship of Canada we installed two more safe water projects in churches last year. Churches in the communities of Tulipan and Pepito Tey now have functioning water systems. Thousands of people in these communities finally have access to a safe and free water source.

We'd like to thank our volunteers from the International Fellowship of Canada, who were indispensable during the mission last November.

We'd also like to thank our donors, whose generosity made this entire project possible. Thanks to you, hundreds of people in struggling communities have a safe water source on which they can depend.

Cuba Update- Community Profile

Tulipan Community

Tulipan Church is in the largest neighborhood in Cienfuegos City. Before the project, most residents relied on the public water system, which is outdated and often unsafe. The other option was to purchase water every month, which often became a financial burden for families.

With a new water system at Tulipan Church, Tulipan residents will have a free, abundant and clean source of safe water, which will be a blessing for a community still struggling to recover from COVID-19.

Pepito Tey Community

Pepito Tey Church serves a community of 4,500 people outside Cienfuegos City. Before the project, most residents relied on a nearby lake for water, which is frequently contaminated. Families had to boil water before using it. Because of the community’s proximity to the lake and lack of safe water access, dengue fever was becoming a problem.

With safe water access at Pepito Tey Church, the community will be able to reduce the risk of disease and live healthier lives.

More to come in 2023

In our ongoing partnership with multiple Cuban Church denominations, we've installed safe water systems at fourteen different churches throughout the Cienfuegos District. The churches, in turn, provide safe water for their parishioners and neighbors, creating an alternative to public water or unprotected water in the community. Safe water access uplifts the quality of life for the community, empowers churches to help their communities, and strengthens community bonds - something that many Cuban communities desperately needed in the aftermath of COVID-19.

In November 2023, H2O4ALL will return to Cuba to partner with four churches in the city of Santa Clara, near Cienfuegos.

The need for safe water in Cuba is great. We continue to rely on partners like you to help us implement more projects like these.
