Hello again from Cuba Township. Whether you were able to make travel plans this summer or just enjoy the sunshine here at home, we hope you are enjoying your summer. Pictures from our Land We Love Run 5k/10k race through Barrington Hills on July 1st benefiting Folds of Honor are now up on the Village of Barrington Hills website: Barrington Hills Event Photos - Village of Barrington Hills (barringtonhills-il.gov). Thanks to all the runners, walkers, and sponsors, we were able to raise over $11,000 for Folds of Honor – a 50% increase from last year! Save the date of Saturday, June 29th, 2024, for our annual American celebration.
Many runners brought food pantry donations on the day of the race and they were much appreciated. We would like to recognize the San Filippo Foundation for their very generous recent food donation. In today’s challenging economy of escalating food prices, we know that donations will make a meaningful difference.
We are looking ahead to our fall events calendar punctuated by our annual Fall Festival. This year’s Fall Fest will be on Saturday, October 7th, 2023. I know everyone appreciates the community camaraderie, festive food, and memorable music.
Are you ready for the kids to return to school? It will be here before you know it. Get those last summer days of sleeping in and family time before we all get back to our routine.
See you soon,
Chris
