2024 General Election Set for November 5, 2024


Voter Registration

Voter registration is open all year except for the 27 days preceding an election. After voter registration closes, Grace Period Registration begins. If you register during Grace Period Registration, you must vote at the time of your registration. View voter registration options here.


Voting Options


Vote by Mail

  • Required ballot application available 90 days before Election Day
  • Ballots are mailed 40 days before Election Day
  • Log onto LakeVoterPower.info to submit an electronic application online or print a personalized PDF form to mail.
  • For the fastest processing method, complete an electronic application. Select “Electronic Request” after log-in and follow the prompts to “Submit Request.” Your signature is not required, and you must complete an attestation.
  • If you wish to print and mail a personalized application to the Lake County Clerk’s office, select “Paper Form". Print, complete, sign, and mail or deliver your application to the Lake County Clerk’s office.
  • If you choose to mail your voted ballot, it must be returned with a postmark no later than Election Day and received at the Lake County Clerk's office no later than 14 days after Election Day.


Early Voting 

The Village of Lake Barrington located at 23860 N. Old Barrington Road, serves as an early voting site beginning October 21 through November 2. Hours are listed below:


10/21/24 - 11/02/24:

Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Saturday 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

CLOSED on Sundays

  • Polls are open from 6 AM to 7 PM

  • Every site is ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant and handicap accessible.

Reminder: Your voted ballot must be postmarked by Election Day, November 5, 2024, or deposited into one of the Lake County drop boxes or hand-delivered to the County Clerk’s Office by 7 p.m. on Election Day.
