It's hard to believe fall is here, bringing in cooler weather, changing leaves, football games and fall festivals!
I hope you can join us at the 19th Annual Cuba Township Fall Festival on Saturday, October 26. In addition to complimentary coffee, cider, donuts, there will be activities for the kids.

This is a free event for residents and no reservations are required. The Cuba Township Shredding Event is being held the same day at the Cuba Township Office, from 8 AM to Noon.

- LIHEAP (Low Income Energy Assistance Policy) - Energy Assistance starts October 1, 2019. Check your Income Eligibility.
- RTA and Pace discounts for Seniors and Disabled residents

Food Pantry serves qualifying Cuba Township residents each Tuesday from 10 AM - 1 PM.

property search portal and County E-filing system.
The Assessor’s Office is extending its hours to 7 PM on Wednesday, 10/30 and Wednesday, 11/13.

HOW TO FILE AN APPEAL
- On the Lake County SmartFile E-Filing login page, create an account or log in to your existing account.
- You will be directed to a portal where you can complete the appeal process. Remember, if you are using comparable property grids as evidence for your appeal, go to IMSLake.org to create and save your grids.
- When you have entered all the information required for your appeal, be sure to go to the section labeled "submit", type in your name, and press the submit button. You will receive an email confirmation that your appeal has been received.

It seems like there are two seasons in the Midwest – Winter and Construction. Stay informed of road construction within Cuba Township, by following us on

- Road district employees are set to conduct the annual township-wide brush pick-up the week of October 21. Please have your pile at curbside by 7 AM Monday.
- The Road District's annual paper shred event is set for Saturday, October 26 from 8 AM - Noon. Staples do not need to be removed, however, binder and paper clips require removal.
- Firewood Fridays start November 8 and run every other Friday from 7:30 AM until supplies run out. Bundles of wood will be loaded in your car every other Friday thru the month of March. Please use the same firewood tag as previous years.
Self-serve mulch is available near the gates on the outside of our mulch yard. This service is for Cuba Township residents only. Mulch is also available for delivery at a cost of $100.00
per truckload. Each truckload of mulch is approximately 8 cubic yards.The mulch is double-ground through our tub grinder and consists of both hardwood and softwood that is collected throughout the township and neighboring villages. The mulch is dark brown in color.
Deliveries are available on Fridays between 7 AM and 3 PM (same day delivery is typically not available). This service is only available to Cuba Township residents. We will not deliver outside of the township boundaries.

BACOG-Sponsored Prescription Drug Take Back
Drop your unwanted or unused prescription and over-the-counter drugs or pills at the Garlands of Barrington, 1000 Garland Lane in Barrington.
Injectable drugs and syringes are not accepted.
Time: 1 PM - 7 PM
A Lake County Sheriff's Office Deputy will be on hand to collect all drugs.
All drop-offs are anonymous.
