The NBA season is over which means the Draft is almost upon us. On June 22 this year's lottery picks will head to the big apple for their chance at stardom. This year's draft class is jammed pack with COP players. Former COP MVP
Lonzo Ball (Chino Hills) leads the pack as the No. 2 projected pick. LA native
Ball is anticipated to go to his hometown Lakers. His athleticism, ball handling and vision have many hailing him as the next NBA superstar. If
Ball is selected by the Lakers it will be the fifth year in a row a COP player has been selected No. 1 or No. 2.
While Ball is a truly dynamic player, he isn't the only former COP standout forecasted to be a top draft pick. Both
Jayson Tatum (Chaminade) and
Malik Monk (Bentonville) are predicted to be top 10 draft picks.
Tatum's size and shot have some likening his game to Carmelo Anthony. His dominance in the isolation game coupled with his size make him a mismatch nightmare.
Likewise,
Monk will be a fantastic addition to any team. Although slightly undersized, Monk is a natural born scorer. With a pure stroke from deep and a crafty nack for finding a shot,
Monk's game is NBA ready.
