"To Seek and to Share" in Action: A Student's Outreach, A Member’s Impact

Recently, a horticulture student from the University of Cincinnati reached out to our community as part of an assignment for her Woody Ornamentals class with Steve Foltz. She contacted several IPPS Eastern Region members—including Past President Matt Palmieri—asking about their experiences with IPPS, why they joined, and how it has shaped their careers.

Her initiative is a great reminder of what IPPS is all about: connection, mentorship, and shared passion.

We encourage students to take advantage of the network around you—don’t be afraid to reach out, ask questions, and make yourself known. And to our members, thank you for answering the call. Every shared story helps shape the future of our field.
