Good Morning,
As we move into the Fall, we look forward to ‘meeting’ with each of you to help carry forward the important Cultural Heritage Tourism (CHT) Plan for Whatcom County.

Many of you know that Annette has moved from her position with Bellingham Whatcom County Tourism to a position with the Bellingham Public Library. While we miss her leadership, she’s, thankfully, still part of the team! In her absence, Deb Granger has been tasked with helping to coordinate this effort for Whatcom County.
A Note from Deb:

It seems “un-be-leaf-able” that it’s already mid-Fall in Whatcom County. While we’re all still COVID-ing and complying with guidelines, we do have much to celebrate and showcase right here in our own communities. We look forward to meeting with you, sharing plans for Quarter 4, and working together to develop plans for the first quarter of the New Year. To help us see how we each fit with this CHT effort, please see the updated organizational structure.

Please plan to join us for the Q4 Stakeholders Group on Monday, Nov. 9 at 10 a.m.
As a member of the Stakeholders Group, we welcome your ideas and input. Working together we can showcase our many important cultural elements regardless of the current constraints. Also, see this website for background on the CHT Planning Documents. And, this summary document of the mission/vision/goals/strategies.

Please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] or 360-223-3994.
We’ll send a reminder and the agenda next week.
I look forward to “seeing” you on Monday, November 9 at 10 a.m.!

Whatcom Arts and the Economy Survey

Allied Arts of Whatcom County, City of Bellingham, Bellingham Whatcom County Tourism and Whatcom Community Foundation continue to provide resources and information for and about our creative community. We are asking all nonprofit and for profit arts and heritage organizations to complete an Economic Impact survey by September 30th, 2020. The information being gathered in this survey is crucial to telling the story of creative workers and making sure that you are supported during this ongoing crisis and the eventual recovery.

The survey results will be compiled into a data only format as well as a written summary. Findings will be distributed to participants for use in future fundraising and community building. This survey should take you no more than 15 minutes to complete, and requires no preparation. Thank you for your time and please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
