This modified version of Hancock Shaker Village's annual tradition will be a day of fun for all ages! Hear a Shaker Christmas talk at 1 p.m., and take photos of a physically distanced Santa on his tractor from 11:30 a.m.-Noon or 1:30-2 p.m. Grab a bite from the food truck (weather dependent) and warm up by the firepit. Be sure to visit Shaker Mercantile and the special pop-up holiday market for the perfect gifts!
From Friday, Dec. 11 through Thursday, Dec. 17, enjoy virtual and outdoor events that include a Shabbat experience for young families, a talk on preserving your family's culinary heritage with the Jewish Food Society, a menorah ice carving and lighting, book club Zoom meetups, a holiday concert, and more!

Keep Berkshire County kids warm this winter! For its 2020 pajama drive, Jewish Federation of the Berkshires has teamed up with Carr Hardware to offer four drop-off sites. Through December 16, you can donate brand-new pajamas (in sizes newborn to teen) at Carr Hardware in Pittsfield, North Adams, and Great Barrington, or at the Federation on South Street.
Boxcar Media has created a website with an interactive directory of Berkshire County and Southern Vermont stores, restaurants, and services. Studies show that buying local keeps money in the community — four times as much as buying from a chain store! Local businesses pay local taxes and hire local people. The site is a chance for businesses, agencies, and organizations to publicize their services, for FREE!
