MORE THAN WORDS: Truth and Reconciliation
 
More Than Words is asking artists "What does reconciliation mean to you? What does action look like? Is it abstract and complex, a representative of healing, and/or something that can be practiced in our everyday lives?" 

Artists are being asked to create works in response to action #83 from the "Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: Calls to Action."

Presented in partnership with the Niagara Regional Native Centre.

Featuring work from the City of St. Catharines Civic Art Collection. The highlighted pieces depict the abundance of inspirational places within our city. This exhibit asks the viewer to discover art in the simplest of places, to look through the eyes of the artists. "Places" hopes to inspire its audience to see the art of St. Catharines in their everyday lives.

Culture Days Activity Program Funding 

Would you like to engage our community in FREE, interactive arts & culture experiences as part of CULTURE DAYS 2020? You can apply for funding from the Culture Days Activity Program.

* Funding is intended for artists, businesses or organizations who wish to run a Culture Days activity in St. Catharines.
* Culture Days is a 3-day national event, September 25-27, 2020, to raise the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities.

The Secret Garden Doors Eco Art Project
Deadline to Apply: March 15
A beautification project promoting sustainable living. 8 artists (or artist groups) will paint and create secret garden doors to be installed in the Buchanan Teaching Gardens, 360 Niagara St. There is no cost to submit designs. Selected artists will be paid $500 upon completion of their door.
The Cultural Services office is a division of the City of St. Catharines' Community , Recreation and Culture Services department. Cultural Services focuses on public art, community development, planning and policy related to arts and culture in the City of St. Catharines.
