2020 Virtual Edition
Free Live-Stream Event: Sunday, October 25, 7 p.m.
The St. Catharines Arts Awards recognize and celebrate excellence in all areas of artistic creation. Nominees include exceptional artists, administrators, organizations and volunteers that represent the St. Catharines community through their commitment, talent, and contributions.

Presented by the City of St. Catharines with the support of the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre.

Hosted by 2018 Emerging Artist Recipient Jessica Wilson.

Special musical performance by 2020 Making a Difference Nominee Juliet Dunn, Director of the TD Niagara Jazz Festival, accompanied by special guest Peter Shea.


2020 Arts Awards Nominees
 
The Arts in Education Award Nominees: Steven Azzopardi, Jean Paul Dupont, Katia Perez Mendez, Curtis Tye, Willow Arts Community and Kari-Lynn Winters.
 
The Emerging Artist Award Nominees: Kate Gottli, Colleen McTigue and Erica Sherwood.
 
The Established Artist Award Nominees: Danny Custodio, Floyd Elzinga and Jon Shaw.
 
The Making a Difference Award Nominees: Mazie Bishop, Juliet Dunn, Bart Gazzola, Tom Inglis, Alison Thomson and Candice Turner-Smith.
 
The Jury’s Pick Award will recognize one outstanding nominee not already recognized in their original category. This award is sponsored by an anonymous donor.

What Is Culture Days?
Culture Days is a Canada-wide celebration that is the largest-ever public participation campaign undertaken by the arts and culture community in this country. Culture Days features FREE hands-on activities that invite the public to participate in "behind-the-scenes" experiences. Participants are given the opportunity to get creative, get messy, engage with performances, make art and experience culture!

Arts activities, music and theatre performances for a variety of ages to enjoy at home-on your own time. You can also find recordings of the live-stream events that have already been presented. Although Culture Days is concluding this Sunday, these videos will continue to be available for FREE access.

Mandatory Masks By-Law
St. Catharines by-law requires owners and/or operators of enclosed public spaces, to require mask use by those entering their establishments, in addition to the provision of hand sanitizer at entrances. The Mandatory Masks By-law is now in effect, enacted on Friday, July 17, 2020.
