It’s that time again to start talking about the “Culture of Giving”. In the past we have focused on several different options for giving. This year, we will be focusing on 3 major ways to give as a collaborative effort:
Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is used to help cover the “gap” between tuition and operating expenses for the current school year. Tuition only covers approximately 90% of our Operating Expenses. Northland is set-up this way in order to allow parents to get a tax deduction on what they donate through the annual fund to help close the gap between tuition and expenses rather than charging a higher tuition with no tax benefit. We will be asking for donations and pledges from our Northland Families through the Annual Fund to wedge that gap.
Black and Gold Gala
The money raised at this event has historically been used to go beyond the basic needs to provide the “cutting edge” resources, teachers, and other services that make a good school excellent! This year, we plan to use the money raised for a new playground and other items on the secondary campus in our goal to consolidate both campuses.
Capital Campaign
The Capital Campaign for One Family - One Mission - One Campus is underway. The majority of the money raised from the capital campaign will go towards our consolidation efforts to move the elementary over to the secondary campus. There are also several other campus improvements that will be made. Some of these improvements are upgrading the current lighting to LED lighting, building out new classrooms, upgrading the bathrooms, etc.
You will be seeing emails soon about how you can contribute to these events as each campaign rolls out over the next several months. You can also go to our website to learn more about ways to give.
