10 Strategies to Get Back on Track
Take a moment and think back to January of this year. What did you envision you would be doing by the end of 2020? Is there anyone out there doing what they envisioned they would be doing, and in the manner, they thought they would be doing it right now? There is no doubt, the global pandemic has wreaked havoc on personal and organizational goals. The challenge is to not let yourself, be permanently derailed.

Excellence Exchange
Q: How do we get nurses involved in committees/councils?

A: The answer to this question is multifaceted. We’ll address several important factors:
  1. Make committee/council work important, relevant, and worthwhile in your organization. Get feedback from staff as to what practice issues are important to them. What practices would they like to change? What new practices would they like to implement?

Call for Abstracts - Shared Governance Virtual Summit
As a way to celebrate shared governance accomplishments in your organization CHCM is hosting a Shared Governance Virtual Summit on March 24, 2021.We invite you to submit an abstract to share your shared governance best practices, lessons learned from implementation/revising councils, improved outcomes, innovations through shared governance, and nursing research/evidence based practices utilized through shared governance.

Client Success!
Congratulations to our colleagues at Lowell General Hospital. They achieved their third consecutive Magnet® Recognition, an accomplishment received by just 2% of hospitals nationwide. We consider it the highest honor and testimony to our work that Lowell General Hospital chose to partner with CHCM for all three of their designations.
Congratulations to University Hospital and Ross Heart Hospital at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center on their successful 4th designation! Attainment of initial designation is difficult and to maintain repeated designations is an achievement to be celebrated. Less than 1% of current Magnet® organizations have achieved designation 4 times or more. CHCM celebrates this achievement with the entire OSU team!
