Be inspired this October School Holidays

Cumberland Council's School Holiday Program is full of fun activities for kids aged three to 18 years. There are many different types of activities being offered. You can make music, design, dance, swim, rock climb, play footy and skateboard. The list goes on. Most activities are free and there is something for everyone.

Recycled Craft at Auburn Library is just one of the many, many events offered this school holiday.
Compost Bin and Worm Farm Rebate Program

To help households reduce their organic waste, Cumberland Council has introduced a Compost Bin and Worm Farm Rebate Program, offering eligible members of the community a rebate of up to $50. "If you buy a $30 compost bin, you'll receive a $30 rebate. If you buy a $70 compost bin, you'll receive a $50 rebate. So you can spend as little or as much as you like," Mayor Greg Cummings explained.

All swim centres to open for summer

Whether you want to bask in the sunshine poolside or swim laps indoors, all of Cumberland Council's pools will be open for summer 2018-19!   Council is committed to upgrading Merrylands, Granville, Guildford and Wentworthville pools as part of its Swim Centre Modernisation Program. We are currently undertaking an assessment of
each pool and identifying opportunities  for upgrades and when these works will  be taking place. We anticipate that we will be engaging  with the community on our Swim Centre Revitalisation  Program in late 2018.
