Council unveils $184.5m spend in 2017-18 budget

Cumberland Council has unveiled its Draft Operational Plan and Budget for 2017-18. The $184.5m budget will deliver new playgrounds, roads, footpaths, community and sporting venues over the next 12 months; all while taking good care of our existing assets.

The spending priorities have been determined by you. During our first year Council undertook extensive consultation to discover your vision for the area. The Operational Plan and Budget is our effort to make this vision a reality.

New capital works projects include:
  • $3.5m Regional Sporting Complex at Gipps Road
  • $1.05m Auburn Botanic Gardens Entertainment Precinct & Duck River Regional Playground
  • $1.05m Central Gardens All Abilities Playground
  • $0.58m Greystanes Area Skate Park

However you don't have to be an elite athlete to enjoy the facilities. Foundation memberships are still available for a limited time. For more info click here.
