Working together to keep Cumberland graffiti free
Cumberland Council has partnered with Granville Rotary for Graffiti Removal Day to help remove graffiti in Cumberland.
Mayor Steve Christou, along with members and volunteers from the Granville Rotary Club participated by rolling up their sleeves to help remove graffiti in parts of Cumberland.
"I encourage everyone to team up with community organisations like Granville Rotary and help keep our neighbourhoods clean," Mayor Steve Christou said.
The Rotary Club of Holroyd have also partnered with Council annually and supported graffiti removal events.
To report any instances of graffiti, please call the NSW Graffiti Hotline on 1800 707 125 (free call) between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday.

Expressions of Interest for childcare centre opening in 2020
Friend Park Children's Centre located on McKern Street, Wentworthville is due to open in March 2020.
The new centre will
increase the capacity from 16 to 40 places and will
provide a long daycare service open from 7 am to 6 pm to accommodate children from birth to school age.
Council is currently accepting applications for enrollments in 2020.

Free asbestos sessions, inspections and collections in Cumberland
November is Asbestos Awareness Month and Cumberland Council is providing several services to increase asbestos awareness, including free information sessions, household inspections and asbestos collections.

Merrylands Community Centre
6.30 pm to 8.30 pm
Thursday 28 November 2019
Auburn Centre for Community
6.30 pm to 8.30 pm.
Those participating in the information session will receive a free asbestos removal kit valued at $100.
Inspections and collections
Asbestos inspections will also be available on Friday 22 November to Saturday 23 November. To be eligible for the 45-minute inspection, your home must be in mostly original condition and built before 1990. To register or organise a collection, call 8757 9000.

Council online systems shutdown
As part of our commitment to providing Cumberland with better online services, Council will be upgrading its systems from 4 pm on Tuesday 3 December until Monday 9 December 2019.
During this time, all online services including online payments, requests and lodgement systems will be unavailable. We encourage residents to make any payments, lodgements and applications outside this period.

Celebrating inclusion in Cumberland
Council is inviting people with disability to join us for a fun event in collaboration with the Human Sound Project.
In celebration of International Day of People with Disability, the event will be showcasing the talent, contributions and capabilities of people with disability through music, song and film.
