We’re turning Village Green Park into the ultimate summer soccer viewing zone with Cup Daze! Grab your blankets, chairs, and your favorite jerseys, we’ll have the big screens ready as the world’s best teams go head-to-head!


Plus, a Guiness World Record Attempt!

Cup Daze will kick off with a world record attempt on Saturday, June 6th at 12:30 pm in Village Green Park. This is your opportunity to participate in breaking the current world record for most soccer balls juggled at the same time! We’ll be linking up with cities across South America, Europe, and North America for a simultaneous record-breaking attempt. Shape Smyrna Comprehensive Plan Update is Kicking-Off


Did you get to chat with us at the Jonquil Festival? The City of Smyrna kicked off its Shape Smyrna 2050 Comprehensive Plan Update with a community engagement pop-up at the Jonquil Festival and has many more planned over the upcoming months.


A comprehensive plan is a long-term planning document updated every five years that combines the analysis of existing conditions and extensive public engagement to create a vision for Smyrna’s next 20 years. Its an opportunity to build on established and potential activity nodes, major corridors, and future redevelopment areas through recommendations that are rooted in community input. We hope to hear from you!

Smyrna Handmade Market is Back in Full Swing


Discover something new every Sunday at the Smyrna Market. This community gathering features 60+ unique vendors set up on W. Spring Street and along King Street (in front of city hall). Each week, You will find international foods, local honey, handmade soaps, baked goods, crafts and more! With new vendors each week, there is always something fresh to discover.

Weekly Smyrna Food Truck Tuesdays are back!


Join us for Smyrna Food Truck Tuesday each Tuesday from May 5 through September 22 (no event the week of July 4 & the week of Labor Day) at Taylor-Brawner Park from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. (3180 Atlanta Road, Smyrna Ga, 30080).


This event is the best Food Truck event series around! Enjoy the offerings from a weekly gathering of quality mobile gourmet trucks and a bit of sweet mixed in and music, too. Please follow parking directions that you can find posted with May gathering dates at Facebook.com/CityofSmyrnaGa. Parking is available at Taylor-Brawner Park, The Reed House and at South State Bank on Atlanta Road after 4:30 pm each Tuesday of the Food Truck Tuesday. Please do not park in residential areas or at open businesses. If you can walk or bike to the park, please do!

Blanket Concert Series: Edgewood String Quartet at Reed House on May 9th


Relax and enjoy live, free music at the Blanket Concert Series on Saturday, May 9th from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Reed House. No registration required, just bring a blanket and enjoy the music!


Edgewood String Quartet has become one of the first of its kind in the Southeast - a quartet that performs not only classical music, but music of all genres: from pop to jazz to anime to rock, and more. Don’t miss out on this immersive concert experience!

County-Wide Job Fair for Adults & Youth on May 30th


As our economy continues to shift and evolve, access to job opportunities - and the connections that make them possible - has never been more important. The 2026 County-Wide Job Fair is right around the corner, offering a meaningful way to bring employers and job seekers together across Cobb County.


This year’s event on May 30th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Jim R. Miller Park & Event Center in Marietta welcomes both adults and youth, expanding access to career pathways at every stage. It hosted by the City of Kennesaw, Cobb County, and CobbWorks. Attendance is free for employers and job seekers alike, with tables and chairs provided - making it easy to get involved and be part of this countywide effort. Please consider engaging your HR teams and local employers to ensure your community is well represented.
