Fast and Abstinence
Lent is a season of prayer, fasting, and service in preparation for Easter.

Fast—All Catholics ages 18 through 59 are bound by the Law of Fasting on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday: one full meal with 2 smaller meals not to equal one full meal.

Abstinence—All Catholics who are 14 years of age and older are bound by the Law of Abstinence: abstaining from meat on Ash Wednesday, all Fridays during Lent, and Good Friday.

Sacrament of Reconciliation
Parish Penance Service—Sunday, March 21, 3:00 pm
This is a great opportunity to make reconciliation a priority in your Lenten journey to Easter. Whether you haven’t received this sacrament in several weeks or 25 years, you will be welcomed with compassion as you receive the grace of forgiveness.

Weekly Confession Schedule
Saturdays, 2:30-3:30 pm  (No confessions on Holy Saturday, April 3)
Wednesdays, 6:00-7:00 pm (During Lent from March 3 to March 31)

Many events are still pending due to the pandemic. This list is not comprehensive and additions and corrections are possible.

Soirée Super Bowl Squares - Chance to win up to $4000
Tickets: Visit Curesoiree.com to purchase your square for the upcoming Super Bowl on Sunday, February 7, 2021. A $100 ticket buys you one square. That square gives you 4 chances to win. A winner will be determined each quarter during the game, and the payout is $1,000 a quarter. Tickets must be purchased before the start of the game.

How to win: At the end of each quarter a winner is determined by the name that corresponds to the last digits of each team's score. St. Mary's Food Kitchen
Every third Monday of each month, Curé of Ars provides lunch at St. Mary’s Food Kitchen. Prior to March 17, 2020, Curé of Ars parishioners would prepare and serve a hot meal that was enjoyed in the dining room; averaging between 350-400 meals served. Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, St. Mary’s had to switch from hot lunches to sack lunches. The number of lunches Curé of Ars now provides is approximately 750-875.

How can you help? We will be collecting donations again on January 18. Please go online, https://cureofars.com/st-marys-food-kitchen to sign up to donate your food, water, time (help put together the lunch sacks), and/or give a monetary donation. We are also collecting reusable bags to help with distributing lunches.
