We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for the 3rd Annual Christmas Lighting Ceremony at Curé of Ars. We are especially grateful for the incredible volunteers from the Curé Choir, Funeral Luncheon Ministry, Knights of Columbus, Youth of Curé, and our parish staff whose dedication made this year’s event truly special. Thank you to Cosentino's Price Chopper and the volunteers of St. Mary's Food Kitchen Ministry for generously providing the food that was enjoyed by all. Your kindness played a vital role in creating a memorable event for our parish community. A special shout-out to Rocca Inc. for once again beautifully lighting up our campus. We are truly blessed!
We are deeply grateful for our parishioners' generosity and support of Curé of Ars Parish in 2024. 2024 charitable contribution statements will be mailed the last week of January to all Curé of Ars donors. If you have not received your statement by Friday, February 7th, please notify Sandy Drake in the Parish Office at 913.521.9363 or send an email to GIVING@CUREOFARS.COM
There is still time to make a 2024 contribution to Curé of Ars Church. 2024 contributions can be dropped off at the Parish Office, submitted electronically on WeShare, or postmarked through December 31.
Thank you for your past contributions and we look forward to your continuing prayers and support in the upcoming year.

On January 12, following the 9:00 am Mass, we will meet for coffee and donuts and hear our guest speaker, Bill Tammeus, address the topic "The Rise of Christian Nationalism". Bill is a former columnist for the Kansas City Star where he worked for 36 years. Since 2004, Bill has written the "Faith Matters" blog (billtammeus.typepad.com/) and writes columns for Flatland, KCPT-TV's digital magazine, and, until recently, for the National Catholic Reporter and the Presbyterian Outlook, two publications for which he now writes occasional book reviews. Bill is a prolific author, having written six books. His latest book, Love, Loss and Endurance: A 9/11 Story of Resilience and Hope in an Age of Anxiety, was published in 2021. Bill is an elder at Second Presbyterian Church in Kansas City and past president of the National Society of Newspaper Columnists.
Our group meets the first two Sundays of the Month from October through April in the Father Burak Room following the 9:00 am Mass. For more information, please contact Jeff Gorski at gorskijeffp@yahoo.com.

Changes to offertory envelopes
Beginning in January 2025, our envelopes will be mailed bi-Monthly (every 2 months) instead of Monthly. This will be a significant cost savings in postage. With this change, we are also adding the option of monthly offertory envelopes (one per month as opposed to one per week). Again, this will be a cost savings as well as aligning better with the way many of our parishioners give & saving a few trees in the process.
Go to cureofars.com/envelopes to update your envelope preferences or contact Sandy Drake at 913.521.9363 or giving@cureofars.com with questions.

Curé of Ars has served a meal every month to the hungry at St. Mary's Food Kitchen for over 30 years. This ministry is a great service to those in need and a great opportunity for Curé parishioners to come together as a community. Cure of Ars serves approximately 350+ people every third Monday of each month. We need your help.
Volunteers leave the church at 7:30 am on the third Monday of each month to serve lunch to the hungry in Kansas City, Kansas. Volunteers are also needed to provide food items such as taco meat, shredded cheese, baked goods, and fresh fruit.
How can you help? Please go online at https://cureofars.com/st-marys-food-kitchen to sign up to donate your food, water, time, and/or give a monetary donation.
