Fast and Abstinence
Lent is a season of prayer, fasting, and service in preparation for Easter.
Fast—All Catholics ages 18 through 59 are bound by the Law of Fasting on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday: one full meal with 2 smaller meals not to equal one full meal.
Abstinence—All Catholics who are 14 years of age and older are bound by the Law of Abstinence: abstaining from meat on Ash Wednesday, all Fridays during Lent, and Good Friday.
Sacrament of Reconciliation
Parish Penance Service—Sunday, March 21, 3:00 pm
This is a great opportunity to make reconciliation a priority in your Lenten journey to Easter. Whether you haven’t received this sacrament in several weeks or 25 years, you will be welcomed with compassion as you receive the grace of forgiveness.

Seven Last Words of Christ—Tuesday, March 30, 7:00 pm(Livestream)
This Curé of Ars tradition will be presented on the Tuesday of Holy Week. The evening is a powerful presentation of scripture, reflection, and beautiful music that places you in the presence of Jesus on the cross. This is a not-to-be-missed presentation for your family and friends.
Operation Rice Bowl
Operation Rice Bowl is an opportunity for you to participate in the giving of alms during Lent. This program benefits tens of thousands of lives around the world, aiding those in poverty and hunger through Catholic Relief Services. “Bowls” are available in the vestibule of the church.

Palm Sunday of the Lord’s Passion ~ March 28, Regular weekend Mass schedule
Holy week begins as we commemorate Jesus’ triumphant entrance into Jerusalem followed by his Passion on the Cross.
Holy Thursday ~ April 1, 7:00 pm (Livestream)
This day we celebrate the Mass of the Lord’s Last Supper. We remember how the Eucharist began and recall Christ’s command of service through the washing of the feet. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament follows in the chapel until 11:00 p.m.
Good Friday ~ April 2, Noon and 7:00 pm (Livestream)
On this day we remember the death of Christ and the power of the cross. We hear the story of the Passion according to St. John, venerate the wood of the cross, and partake in Holy Communion. Good Friday is a day of fast and abstinence. Stations of the Cross will follow the noon liturgy.
The Great Vigil of Easter ~ April 3, 7:00 pm (Livestream)
The Easter Vigil is the first Mass of Easter and the most glorious Mass of the church year. This is the night of great rejoicing as we light the new Easter candle and listen and respond to the great stories of our faith - the Scriptures; Our catechumens and candidates are welcomed into full communion with the Church; We renew our own baptismal vows, and come to the Eucharistic table, as renewed members of the Body of Christ.

Easter morning begins the 50-day period of celebrating Jesus’ resurrection, the hope of our resurrection, the Ascension of Jesus into heaven, and the joyful conclusion of the season of Easter on Pentecost.
