Important 2021 Curé Census Information
|
|
Curé of Ars is conducting a census of all families and members during October to update our records. E-mails will be sent to each family that has an e-mail address listed in our system on October 5th. You may respond to the census online through a link in the e-mail or by printing your information and turning it into the office or in the collection basket. Those who do not have an e-mail address in our system will get a printed letter mailed the week of October 18th. We are hoping to hear from each of our parishioners to verify the information we have. Thank you for taking the time to help us with this important project.

Curé of Ars Church
Unbound is pleased to announce a new collaborative effort with faith-in-action artists Doug Brummel and Dave Wilson - talented storytellers, musicians, and stewards of the faith. Together they will present a faith-filled, interactive live show for families on Thursday, October 14 in the Curé of Ars' church sanctuary. The Faith We Live show aims to create awareness and innovative solutions in challenging poverty around the world.
For over 40 years, Unbound has been partnering with families living in poverty, empowering them to become self-sufficient and fulfill their desired potential. With 92.6 percent of donations going directly toward program support, Unbound works side by side with people of diverse cultures and faith traditions in Latin America, Asia, and Africa.
The Faith We Live will extend the organization’s message through Doug and Dave’s unique, engaging and entertaining delivery, which the duo has become known for across the country. The show will also feature all-original, spirited, and empowering music from their new Nashville-produced album.
“The Doug and Dave Show has a deep-rooted desire to serve the poor,” Brummel said. “This collaborative effort will create awareness and serve as a reminder to all generations that we are called to care for others.”

Have you or someone you know lost a child or loved one during pregnancy or in early infancy? If so, Archbishop Naumann invites you to commemorate this loss at a Mass on Sunday, October 24, at 1:00 pm, at Holy Spirit Parish in Overland Park, KS. This annual Mass gives parents, grandparents, siblings, or other loved ones the opportunity to receive consolation, whether the loss was recent or many years ago. Even if you have not personally experienced this kind of loss, you are invited to join us at this Mass to support those who have. For questions or more info, contact Brad DuPont at 913.647.0301 or bdupont@archkck.org

Pro-Life or Pro-Choice: Where do you stand? What do your friends and family believe? Can you defend your stance? Join us for a viewing and discussion of the thought-provoking documentary The 40 Film, which takes on the heated issue of abortion in America. The film provides inspiring stories and deeply personal interviews with leaders of the pro-life movement and several pro-choice activists. Linda Verhulst from Missouri Right to Life Western Region will be joining us to lead a discussion on the defense of life and anti-abortion apologetics! Join us Monday, October 11, 2021, from 7:00-8:30 pm at St Elizabeth Church, 2 East 75th Street, KCMO.

Curé of Ars has served a meal every month to the hungry at St. Mary's Food Kitchen for over 30 years. This ministry is a great service to those in need and a great opportunity for Curé parishioners to come together as a community. Cure of Ars serves approximately 350+ people every third Monday of each month. We need your help.
Volunteers leave the church at 7:30 am on the third Monday of each month to serve lunch to the hungry in Kansas City, Kansas. Volunteers are also needed to provide food items such as taco meat, shredded cheese, baked goods, and fresh fruit.
