Holy Holey Donuts and the 700 Club
Dear Students and Families,
We are excited to introduce a joyful new tradition at our school : Holy Holey Donuts This weekly gathering is a chance to celebrate the sweet things in life: faith, fellowship, and fresh donuts. Each week, several students will be invited to join me and one of our beloved administrators to share a donut, share our hearts, and grow together in faith.
Our first gathering will be held on Friday. October 10th, and we are starting with something extra special — our inaugural “700 Club”, featuring the students who earned a perfect 700 on their Kansas Assessment. What an amazing academic achievement, and what a great way to kick off a celebration of excellence and virtue!
After our first meeting, future Holy Holey Donut guests will be chosen from among students who are living out virtues in visible ways — kindness, humility, courage, integrity, and faith. Teachers and staff will nominate students, and we’ll use a fun randomizer to select a few each week.
If anyone would like to support our Holy Holey Donut club by donating donuts or a donut gift card, we would be truly grateful — and you’d be contributing to a tradition that feeds both body and soul.
Let’s build something beautiful together — one donut and one student at a time.
With joy and gratitude,
Natalie McDonough

October
As we enter the month of October, the Church invites us to pause and reflect on three beautiful devotions of our faith. October is Respect Life Month, a time to reaffirm the dignity of every human life, from conception to natural death, remembering the words of the Psalmist: “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, because I am wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:13-14).
It is also the Month of the Holy Rosary, reminding us of the power of prayer and Mary’s intercession in our lives, as we echo her own words: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my Savior” (Luke 1:46-47). At his General Audience on September 24, Pope Leo XIV invited Catholics around the world to join in praying the Rosary every day during October for the cause of peace in our world: "Dear brothers and sisters, the month of October is now approaching, and in the Church it is dedicated in a special way to the Holy Rosary. Therefore, I invite everyone, every day of the coming month, to pray the Rosary for peace: personally, in the family, in the community. Bishop Michael F. Burbidge also encouraged all priests and parishioners in the diocese to call upon the intercession of the Blessed Mother. "The Rosary is one of the most powerful devotions entrusted to us by Our Lady," he said, "and in these turbulent times, it remains a sure path to peace, conversion, and deeper love of Christ."
Please join us for our all-school rosaries on Friday, October 3rd, Friday, October 10th, and Friday, October 24th.
Peace,
Natalie McDonough

Dear Parents,
Conferences are right around the corner! Please see the information below regarding sign-ups. During the first quarter, we ask for 100% participation in conferences with homeroom teachers. Parents will have the ability to edit, modify, or delete sign-ups until October 10th. Should you need to make a schedule change after October 10th, please reach out to your classroom teacher to reschedule. This helps our teachers prepare and plan accordingly.
Preschool Families (PK3, PK4, JK):
Preschool conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, December 3. By moving conferences back slightly, our students will have more time to demonstrate their growth, and families will have helpful information as they begin to consider enrollment for next year.
Please note: Preschool will be closed on October 15 and 16, as indicated on our master calendar.
Kindergarten–4th Grade Families:
Please use the link provided to sign up for a conference with your child’s homeroom teacher.
Parent - Teacher Conferences
5th–8th Grade Families:
We kindly request that all parents schedule a conference with their child’s homeroom teacher. If there are still spots available, on Monday, October 6th, you are welcome to sign up for an additional conference with another teacher. However, our priority is to ensure that every homeroom teacher meets with each of their students’ families.
