School News

As the leaves turn and the air grows crisp, we are reminded of the beauty of change and the constancy of God’s love. This season, our school community is embracing the spirit of gratitude—giving thanks for the blessings of learning, friendship, and faith that surround us each day. From classroom prayers to acts of service, our students are living out the Gospel in small but powerful ways. May this autumn be a time of reflection and renewal for all our families, as we continue to grow together in Christ.

The following students received Virtues in August and September of this year! Congratulations to those kids showing Virtuous actions!

When I walked the hallways this week, I was reminded how often our kids and their innocence can be our greatest teachers. Some beautiful prayers they wrote are below

We are excited to announce that Securly, our technology monitoring system, has developed an

at-home partnership to allow parents access to their students' usage. If you would like to participate in this program, please access further information linked below and fill out the form included here. This will provide Curé with the information needed to upload your parent information into our system to connect you with your student(s).

Please note: this monitoring system will only work while students are using their devices logged in with their Curé of Ars email address. Additionally, you will receive notifications only when your child is using their device while not on COA campus.

Please reach out to Terri Follis at terri.follis@cureofars.com with specific questions about this program.

Reminders:

Parents coming to watch their child's class-led all-school Mass: please remember that the pews are completely full and used for our students. Please select a chair along the back wall or the back chairs in the chapel off to the north side. In addition, help us maintain a reverent atmosphere as you enter the church. We ask all students to remain quiet while entering and to spend a few moments in prayer before Mass begins—if you could please do the same, we would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you!"

Parents please remember to use the attendance email for all sickness, appointments, or early dismissals at attendance@cureofars.com

Thank you!

Halloween Reminder:

Please review the guidelines below. If students do not follow the guidelines, then they will be sent home.  The kids have been told this. Please ensure they follow the guidelines when they exit the car, so you don’t have to come back up and retrieve them, as we want them to have a great day!

Guidelines:

No masks, props, or weapons (fake or otherwise)

No face paint

No blood/gore/scary

Must follow school guidelines on length/ modesty

Item or concept must be appropriate for school

No group costumes, this is a time for children to celebrate their uniqueness not a time to exclude others.

No inflatable costumes

Anyone who does not want to wear a costume may come in black and orange, spirit wear, or uniform. I always find onesies to be a great and easy costume with pants and a t-shirt underneath. Dressing as a saint is also a great costume that honors the true spirit of the holiday. We will offer a prayer for the dead at the end of the day.

We have included an article from the Vatican on Halloween and the Catholic Church.

Help us celebrate our Veterans here at COA!

Watch for a star cutout to come home next week with your student. Feel free to add your Veteran's name and service to the star. Students can drop their stars off in the office between Oct. 28- Nov. 7th!

PTO Carnival News

A Huge THANK YOU!

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Patty Love for her tireless work organizing and leading this year’s incredibly successful Carnival! This is no small task, and we are truly fortunate to have such dedicated and enthusiastic parent volunteers.

Want to Get Involved?

We’d love to have you on board next year! If you're interested in helping plan or volunteer for the 2026 Carnival, please email us at:

cureofarspto@gmail.com

Thank You, Volunteers!

Thank you to all the families who signed up to volunteer at this year’s event—we appreciate you! The Carnival simply wouldn’t be possible without your support.

If you weren’t able to volunteer this time, we hope you’ll consider signing up next year. Our goal is to have every family take on at least one volunteer shift—many hands make light work!

Carnival Favorite: Soda Ring Toss

One of our most-loved games is the Soda Ring Toss—the kids can’t get enough of it! However, we did have a few instances of students throwing or shaking soda bottles, which led to some messy (and unsafe) situations around campus.

To ensure we can keep this popular game next year, we’re asking for parent support in reminding students to treat all games—and school grounds—with care and respect.

Let’s work together to keep the fun going for years to come!
