Curé Families,
We have enjoyed our new security team as they are integrating into our community. The kids have been great, and they will stop by the security desk daily and thank them for being here. Last week, the officers set out a yearbook for the kids to sign and got a ton of signatures! We have had 164 families donate over $112,000. We have ordered new locks for classroom doors and are getting bids for security film as we research the best option. The link to donate is HERE.
Coming up: Look for an email on October 1st for My First Annual School Report.
Thank you to everyone who attended the Illustrative Math Night for parents. We had a fantastic turnout and a great event. Thank you to Erin Bradley and Jessica Milbert from PTO for organizing the event along with administrators Bryn Timme and Jackie Barber.
This past Tuesday, we had our second School Board Meeting. We have this link on our website if you want to know more about the School Board and its members. The topic of this meeting was School Finance and Kansas Assessment Data. Look for that information to be included in the Annual Report on October 1.
Pick up and Drop off reminders:
- We are seeding the hill in front of the school, so please wait until you get past the Mary statue to let the kids out.
-
If you have a pick-up change, please let the Front Office know. Teachers often don't have time to check emails before the end of the day.
- Please don't let children sit on the moonroof of your car. One gentle bump and they can end up seriously injured.
**We have an opening for a part-time job (with the opportunity for full-time) nurse. Angela Carney will be transitioning careers to teaching at the college level and maintaining her part time nursing work outside of Curé. We are so grateful for the love and compassion she has dedicated to our students over the years! If you are interested, please send a resume to natalie.mcdonough@cureofars.com
Thank you for a beautiful start to the school year! Enjoy the rain, and have a blessed weekend!
