A Note From Your Head of School

Dear Curé of Ars Community,

The first part of the 2022-2023 school year has gone by quickly, and it has been an exciting time. I thank you personally for making me feel so welcome and at home.

Through the work of volunteers, we have had many community celebrations from Back to School Night, Carnival, Trunk or Treat, Parent Teacher Conferences, Gift Gathering, and Grandparent parties, just to name a few.

Our students have shown leadership in events such as our All Saints Day Mass, Day of the Dead Altar, Musical Auditions, Morning announcements, Cougar News, and so much more.

We are grateful for the support of the parents in building an excellent community for our students. We are also thankful that our parents have kept their trust and confidence in us with their most valuable asset, their children.

We are grateful for the teachers, assistants, secretaries, health aides, nurses, lunch clerks, support staff, resource teams, and counselors who care about student success and have the best interests of our students. We see dedicated and hard-working individuals going above and beyond to ensure great things happen in our school. They make an incredible difference.

We are grateful for our parish staff, maintenance, deacons, priests, and of course Father Storey, who leads us all.

From our families to yours we would like to wish all of you and your families a healthy, relaxing, and happy Thanksgiving break!

Discipline records

In order to be more transparent and consistent and start to keep documentation, you will now be able to see your child's discipline incidents in EduConnect. All discipline records will be submitted within 24 hours of any incident. If it concerns an office visit, you will be notified by phone by either an administrator or the classroom teacher prior to the incident being entered. This is for internal records only and not part of their permanent record.

Reporting Absences

Please make sure you are calling the school if your child is not in attendance. If we do not get a call or email, we will contact you. Thank you!

PARISH NEWS

Operation Breakthrough is offering the opportunity for Curé of Ars parishioners to Adopt a Family for Christmas and support them in a time of need. Curé has helped families with Operation Breakthrough for many years and we are excited to partner with them again this year.   It is an amazing way to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas with your family.

To adopt a needy family and support Operation Breakthrough, please follow this 3-step process:

STEP 1: Click on the Sign-Up-Genius link - https://www.signupgenius.com/go/904054eaea92ea2fd0-cure   and select from 1-child, 2-child, or 3 child families. Follow instructions on the SignUpGenius page.

STEP 2: Check your email for information on the adopted child(ren), instructions, and a tax receipt. Emails will be sent to you by [email protected]

STEP 3: Drop off gifts on Saturday, December 10th from 10:30- 12:00 at the church. Volunteers will collect the gifts and transport the gifts to the Operation Breakthrough warehouse.
