Teaching Mass at Curé of Ars

Fr. Storey invites you to a Teaching Mass which will be followed by a Question & Answer Session on Tuesday, September 26, at 6:30 pm in the Church Sanctuary

A Teaching Mass is simply an explanation of each part of the Mass. To fully appreciate the Mass as " the source and summit" of the Christian Life (Sacrosanctum Concilium #10), we need to understand it, love it, and be able to explain it to others so they can appreciate it too!

* There will not be a Holy Mass with the Eucharist at this presentation.

Eucharistic Revival

As part of the Eucharistic Revival at Curé, we will be sharing articles as well as scheduling events with the goal of furthering our understanding and commitment to the Eucharist and the teachings of our Church. These events and articles can be found in the bulletin weekly and on our website at https://cureofars.com/national-eucharistic-revival.

One recent article that Fr. Storey has selected to share on the Eucharist is from our patron saint, St. John Vianney, and is available to read at https://cureofars.com/eucharistic-revival-articles.

Learn more about the Catholic Church with RCIA

Want to learn about Catholicism?

Are you an adult Catholic but missed Confirmation?

Then we would love to have you join us at R.C.I.A.

Who do you know that could be or should be interested in learning about our faith? We are all called to be disciples and to share our living faith, so think about (and then act) on whom you might invite - a friend, a neighbor, a co-worker, a family member. Now is an ideal time to invite someone, as our RCIA sessions will begin the 18th of September. These sessions are for “Inquirers”, that is anyone who wants to learn what Catholicism means. They are also a way for adult Catholics to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.

For more information look to Curé of Ars’ website, email to rcia@cureofars.com, call the church office at 913.649.1337 or call Bill Hobbs at 913.338.4820.

Catholic Charities Food Drive

Summer Food Drought

Our food pantries are in urgent need of food. With the rising cost of groceries, supply chain issues, and an increase of those accessing our food pantries (up 25% since February 2022) the demand to feed our neighbors in need is critical. At a time when food pantry visitors need us the most, our pantry shelves are growing empty. All our food pantries are experiencing what we call a food drought. Supply chain issues are making it difficult to purchase the food we need, and this summer our donations are down almost 20%.

We need your help.

Eucharistic Adoration Chapel

“Let the Children come to me…“ (Luke 18:16)

Each of us is a precious child, called to an intimate relationship with God through friendship and love. We are called as His children to open our hearts in trust, and to gaze upon the beauty of our Redeemer in awe. When we come to Adoration, we are handing God the keys to our hearts, allowing the rays of His love and grace to bathe our souls in the light of His Presence. Like Mary of Bethany, we are seating ourselves at the feet of Christ and letting His very essence pour down upon us. It is here that we find the better part.

Have you considered spending an hour of your time at the feet of Jesus? Many hours are currently open in the Adoration Chapel. The schedule is now online at https://cureofars.com/adults-eucharistic-adoration. Or contact Lisa at 913.558.1187 or at lisawhi@gmail.com

Within the quiet of our hearts, we find God. Within the whisper of our souls, He speaks.
