Project Update Aug. 31, 2023

New GVCO Community Center complex update: the sidewalks are in, the curbs and island are complete for the drop off area in front of the building, and the parking lot lights are being installed. It's been another few days of great progress at the site. Inside the facility, the drywall has been taped and sanded while the painters are scheduled for just after Labor Day.

GVCO has begun scheduling the facility for community programing such as Challenger Gym and our Caring Hands community service group. . Adult programming such as pickleball and a mens corporate basketball league are being mapped out. In addition, youth sports such as flag football, cheerleading and basketball have all been scheduled to utilize the facilities in the coming year. Needless to say, the facility's schedule is quickly filling up. Those interested in using the facility or complex should contact community@gvco.org.

It's time for everyone in our Great Valley community to GIVE BACK. The community's support over the past six years has been tremendous [Donor List 7/31]. Let's finish what we started, paying off the debt and moving forward with the next phase of the project. To do this, the support must continue and be more broad based.

We are asking for help from the entire Great Valley private, public and business community.

Do You Match?

Much of the success of any capital campaign comes from Employer Matching Gift Programs. Most corporations have a a matching gift program which enables you to have twice the impact with your contribution.

To date, we have received over $130,000 in matching gifts towards our new GVCO Community Center.

For this first phase of the project, if we could simply raise that same level of employer matching gifts, it would allow us to nearly pay for the entire plumbing in the building or all of the windows and doors.
