The Arc in Teen Vogue Pushing Back on the R-Word

Unfortunately, use of the r-word is becoming increasingly popular on social media and elsewhere—but The Arc is pushing back. After four of the first six episodes in season 3 of HBO’s hit show, Euphoria, included the r-word in dialogue, Katy Neas of The Arc US published an op-ed in Teen Vogue illuminating how much pain the r-word causes for people with disabilities. The op-ed is gaining traction on social media, and it’s since been picked up by MSN and Yahoo Entertainment.

During the webinar, HCPF representatives will explain in more detail what work requirements will look like and how they could impact members, counties, providers, and communities. Presenters will also detail next steps and how to stay involved.
