Week of May 26 - June 1, 2025

From the President

The Class of 1975 celebrated their 50th reunion on May 17th, becoming the newest Golden Friars. This coming week, the Classes of 1965 and 1970 will have a shared 60th and 55th reunion luncheon. The term brotherhood wasn’t used at that time as it is today, but the experience of these Golden Friar reunions continues to show that the fraternal spirit was there. These “senior” graduates are happy to see how the school is thriving, and I’m grateful our students have a chance to know a tradition that was not present in the 1960s and ’70s. It’s a great way to wind up a school year, and to now celebrate with the Class of 2025.

-- Fr. Donald

From the Principal

Celebrating the commencement exercises for the Class of 2025 is another reminder of how fast time flies. Our time with our Curley Men -- these four years -- progresses very rapidly. During their time with us, they have grown in so many ways. They have also been challenged to listen to God’s call in their lives, to develop their gifts, and to be brothers to one another. I hope that all of our Curley Men carry these lessons forward in their daily lives.

This is the last week of classes for underclassmen. While the end of the year is in sight, we are using days during this last week to prepare for final exams. These important assessments cover content from the entire second semester.

Attention Class of 2025 Families --

Congratulations on last week's graduation festivities! Now that graduation is over and that date can be entered into his final transcript, we will begin the process of finalizing senior transcripts. ONE (1) transcript will be sent out for each senior to his school of choice which your son should have marked as ENROLLING in his SCOIR account. Final transcripts are set to be mailed out in early June. Final transcripts will also be uploaded to the NCAA Eligibility Center for all of our collegiate athletes.

All freshmen, sophomores and juniors should continue working hard and finish their school year strong. A student's six semester unweighted and weighted GPAs is what is sent out with initial 4-year college applications. Go HERE to access six effective study techniques for high school students. This five minute Ted Talk covers three tips on how to study effectively. Good luck!
