Insights for Healthcare Leaders & Change-Makers
Dear HCEG Colleagues and Friends:

COVID has changed everything but key healthcare priorities have not changed.

As healthcare leaders, we can’t solve everything. But small groups engaging on self-selected priority topics can make a difference - and that is HCEG’s focus for the coming months.

In this newsletter, enjoy a recap of our inaugural Focus Area Roundtable on Health Policy & ACA, meet our new Focus Area Partners and check out some current resources that may be of interest. Most importantly, select a topic or two of importance to you and join a Focus Area Roundtable.

Working together we can make a difference in healthcare this year.

Be safe and stay well,

Executive Director
The HealthCare Executive Group (HCEG)
Focus Area Partners Support Healthcare Leaders
As we mentioned in our last newsletter, we’re creating Focus Area Roundtables for select 2021 HCEG Top 10+ priorities. The purpose of the roundtables is to support HCEG's mission of providing opportunities for collaboration and transformational dialogue between our members, subscribers, sponsor partners, and industry experts.

As of this week, we’re pleased to announce the following Focus Area Partners for 2021. HealthSparq will support "Costs & Transparency," Surescripts with "Interoperability," and Softheon with "Healthcare Policy & ACA."

Additional Focus Area Partners are being engaged to support other priorities identified by our members and industry polls.
New Focus Area Partners for 2021 Priorities
Focus Area Partners: Sharing, Collaborating, & Consulting
In this role, these leading technology companies will:

  • Help to identify, curate, and share information on their HCEG Top 10+ focus area with the HCEG member network.
  • Facilitate discussion and offer examples of applications, technologies, and approaches healthcare organizations are using to turn theories into practice.
  • Answer questions from the HCEG member network and provide expert commentary on experiences with digital innovations and initiatives supporting their focus area.
  • Participate as a consultative partner in Focus Area Roundtable discussions.

HCEG is establishing Focus Area Partners for other priorities identified by the HCEG member network. Read on for more about our first Focus Area Roundtable on Healthcare Policy & ACA and learn how you can participate in upcoming roundtables.
Recapping Inaugural Focus Area Roundtable on Healthcare Policy & ACA
On March 11th, executives from mid-sized health plans, an integrated delivery system, a national specialty care provider, and a not-for-profit consortium focused on advancing healthcare data and technology transformation shared their thoughts, ideas, and concerns in the first Focus Area Roundtable on Healthcare Policy & ACA.

HCEG member participants responded to the following questions:
  • What are your healthcare policy & ACA-related priorities, thoughts, and concerns?
  • What components of the recently passed American Rescue Plan (ARP) are most promising to you?
  • What are ARP’s immediate, mid-term, & long-term benefits?

Join Upcoming Focus Area Roundtables
We’re currently launching a roundtable on “Costs & Transparency” scheduled for 30 minutes on Monday, April 5th at 5:00 PM ET.

And a follow-up roundtable to address additional Healthcare Policy & ACA-related topics raised during the first roundtable is being organized. Also planned is a roundtable on “Interoperability.” Roundtables for other focus areas will be announced as they are formalized.

If you would like to be included on invitations to specific Focus Area Roundtables as they become available, please send us an email or use this tool to specify your 2021 HCEG Top 10+ area(s) of interest.
