Dr. Quentin R. Johnson began his duties as the sixth president of Southside Virginia Community College on July 1, 2019...and no grass is growing under his feet! Dr. Johnson is a visionary and strategic servant leader with more than 25 years of senior level administrative experience.

Summer is Camp Time
From building rockets, to investigating crime scenes, to coding on Raspberry Pi computers, to creating vision boards, to using 3D printers, to studying bees, over 200 area students have participated in SVCC summer camps! Whew, it was fun!
Whitney Hawkins job followed in her parents’ footsteps by becoming a school teacher. She grew up in Alberta, Virginia and attended Nottoway High School and the Governor’s School of Southside Virginia at the same time.
