New Updated Trust Central Support Page *
Trust-Funded providers can now find all the Trust Central support they need in one place! Access to all essential resources have been consolidated on a single page of the Provider Portal. Log in to The Trust website with your Trust Central login and visit Providers > Trust Central Support.
Injury Prevention: Upcoming Trainings
All Trust-funded providers are required to participate in childhood injury prevention capacity-building efforts facilitated by the Public Health Trust's Injury Free Coalition for Kids of Miami. Trainings for October are listed below; visit The Children's Trust community calendar for full descriptions and registration information. Unless otherwise noted, all trainings take place at the University of Miami Mailman Center, located at 1601 NW 12th Avenue, Miami, FL 33136.

Advocacy Network on Disabilities: Upcoming Trainings

  • Discovering Inclusion Training - Now Available ONLINE Discovering Inclusion is an introductory workshop for staff with little or no previous knowledge about children and youth with disabilities and inclusion. It includes an introduction to various types of disabilities, identifying the benefits of inclusion for all, using People First Language and respectful etiquette, and the characteristics of an inclusive program. There is also an opportunity to explore personal beliefs and values.

Training: Traumatic Stress & Commercial Sexual Exploitation *
Kristi House offers best-practice programs and education for professionals, service providers and parents on the following:

Nurturing Parenting Facilitator Training
Nurturing Parenting Programs are family-based programs with a proven track record of preventing the recurrence of child abuse and neglect that address the specific needs of different populations. Happening December 3-5 at 6801 NW 186th Street, Miami, FL 33015, this three-day training will focus on incorporating the philosophy, skills and strategies of nurturing parenting.   • Early Childhood Development: Teaching Strategies GOLD Competitive solicitation to fund a single agency to provide early childhood development supports for an ongoing, observation-based assessment system for young children. The funded agency will manage and support Teaching Strategies GOLD (GOLD), which will be implemented with early learning educators employed in eligible programs in Miami-Dade County.   • Oral Health Education & Preventive Services Competitive solicitation to fund comprehensive oral health education and preventive services for under- and uninsured preschool and elementary-age children. Early Learning Career Center Scholarships
The Early Learning Career Center, funded by The Children's Trust, is offering professional development scholarships to early childhood educators in Miami-Dade County to improve knowledge, skills, classroom practices and ultimately the quality of care offered to our children. Available Positions at The Children's Trust

  • Director of Communications The director of communications, using both traditional and innovative methodologies, is responsible for executing the planning and implementation of a comprehensive communications and community outreach program that includes, but is not limited to, planning and coordinating media events and press conferences; responding to media inquiries; planning and implementing public information programs and services; and developing news releases and other regular forms of communication such as newsletters and flash emails. In addition, the incumbent will oversee the design and updating of The Children's Trust website. He/she will also be accountable for building and maintaining relationships with key people in the media as well as within community, civic, education, health, business and faith sectors.

Drivers *
Girl Power seeks van drivers to be responsible for transporting children to its after-school and summer programs, and other locations involved in the daily operation of the agency. Responsibilities include performing minor preventative maintenance on van and maintaining records related to the operation/maintenance of van, mileage and student attendance. Must be able to work well with children, comply with Florida state law regarding mandatory reporting and possess a chauffeur's license or be able to obtain one. Fitness Coach - Part Time
Leadership Learning Center seeks a part-time fitness coach who is passionate about health and fitness and can help students learn and understand physical education. Responsibilities include planning, organizing and implementing an appropriate instructional program for grades K-12. Must possess minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent; knowledge of team or individual sports and playing rules; and competitive coaching skills in sports. Previous coaching experience and pursuing a bachelor's in physical education or exercise science preferred. Master's Level Therapist
Lotus House seeks a master's level therapist to provide evidence-based Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) or Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) for children and families with high special needs, histories of complex trauma, and medical and mental health issues. Must possess experience in PCIT, CPP or Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and child/family therapy; minimum master's degree in relevant field; and be licensed or a registered clinical intern.   • One-to-One Facilitator - Part-Time To implement the All Stars after-school and summer youth enrichment program to students grades 6-8 and to work one-on-one with youth with special needs.   • Program Coordinator To oversee All Stars after-school and summer youth enrichment program operations, goals and outcomes, including supervising staff; ensuring program/fiscal compliance with funder guidelines and established city policies; collaborating with partner organizations; and researching grant opportunities and submitting proposals.
