Dear Friends in Christ:
For the past week, our three Bishop candidates have been traveling throughout the state, taking in all northern Ohio has to offer, including the people of the Diocese. At the Meet and Greet in Akron, 9 of our parishioners were in attendance, which made our group more than 10% of the audience. I have to say, that makes me quite proud. If you're interested (and I hope you are), you can find a recording of the livestream from that event HERE, or you can watch tonight's livestream from the Cathedral at 6pm HERE.
And, again, you can find more information about the three candidates HERE.
This morning, I am traveling up to Bay Village for the clergy-only session with the candidates. (I was planning to watch it online, but got roped into the chance to be playing piano for a hymn we'll be singing at the end.) All three of these priests are strong candidates in their own right, and I will be delighted no matter which one of them ends up leading us. But for now, please keep Diana, Ann, and Elaine in your prayers. It's been a grueling week of grilling for them, with more to come.

FALL GARDEN CLEANUP, This Saturday
On October 29th, from 10am to 12pm, we will have our fall garden cleanup, where we put the beds to bed and put the leaves to compost. Please join us if you are able. (You can rest your bones later that day at the Spooky Season Special mentioned below.)

SPOOKY SEASON SPECIAL, also This Saturday
Jay Spencer has reserved the balcony for another St. Tim's outing to the Canton Palace Theater. Join us October 29th for the 100th anniversary of "Nosferatu," which Jay claims is a movie about vampires and Episcopalians. The movie begins at 7:30pm, but the doors for us will open at 6pm so we can share food and drinks and conversation up in the balcony. At some point, Jay will sneak away to rise up out of the floor (like a vampire and an Episcopalian) and serenade us all from the Mighty Kilgen Organ.
If you come at 6pm for the socializing and refreshments, entry is free! If you show up just for the movie, you'll probably have to pay ten bucks. (This is sometimes called, "hospitality by extortion.")
Please, please, PLEASE let us know if you're planning to attend so we know how much food to get. You can call the church office at 330.833-3183, or send us an email HERE.

You can add names by calling the church office, or filling out the form at this LINK, under the Worship tab at our website.

SOCKTOBERFEST FINAL SUNDAY
Thanks to Aaron Litten, we are once again collecting socks and undergarments for the Jaycees to distribute locally to those in need. This is the final Sunday to help make Socktoberfest a success. Please bring new socks and undergarments and place them in the bin in the parish hall. This is good practice for our annual November Blanket Drive!

ADVENT RECITAL SERIES
We're thrilled to announce the return of our Advent Recital Series. Beginning Wednesday, November 30th, we will have a short recital starting at 11:30am, prior to our mid-week Communion service. The schedule is not yet finalized, but we look forward to some lovely music from local musicians. These concerts are free and open to the public.

MORE THAN ENOUGH
We are in the midst of our 2023 Stewardship Campaign, with the theme "More Than Enough." Thematically, we take our cue from Jesus' feeding the 5,000, where even after everyone has had their fill, the disciples still collect 12 leftover baskets.
In the presence of Jesus, everything comes into its full potential, and becomes what it was meant to be. And that includes you and me.
We ask that you prayerfully consider supporting St. Timothy's in the coming year, and return a pledge card to show that support, no matter the amount. Together, we can accomplish more than we could ask or imagine, with more than enough for the future.

PRAYERS REQUESTED
When you ask for someone to be added to the prayers, they will stay on our list for four weeks unless we hear from you. We will maintain a continuing prayer list for those with ongoing needs. The email list below merges both lists.
Please be sure to let us know if someone should be taken off this list so we can focus on those in need.
Please pray for the people of Ukraine & Russia, that they would be kept safe and live in peace and safety.
And please also keep these friends and parishioners in your prayers:
✥Chris Lane ✥Priya Kurian ✥Chuck Tilley ✥Michael Flamm ✥Liz Frank ✥Mike Requa

Celebrating birthdays over the next two weeks are Hal Dill (11/2), Etta Trimpi (11/4), Quinn Higgins (11/8), and Larry Hann (11/9).
No anniversaries of which I'm aware in these two weeks.
Be sure to send good wishes and thoughts to all who celebrate in the coming weeks!

PERIODIC PUZZLE
Laying down a new floor is very much like putting together a puzzle. And though our new floor is still not yet completely finished, I thought you might like to spend a little time getting to know it.
You can complete your own floor puzzle by clicking HERE, maybe even before they get finished with the church floor!
As always, you can choose your background color, number of puzzle pieces, and even set it to display just the edge pieces. Plus, you get a very affirming crowd reaction once you have completed it!
Also, if you want to take a trip down puzzle memory lane, you can go back and find the whole collection on our website at this LINK.

This past Sunday, the children of Judy Wigginton brought to church the new Altar Book they donated in her honor. It is lovely and much easier to read, with its fresh ink and all. As I mentioned in an email a couple months ago, I heard from a priest in South Dakota who was in need of a used Altar Book for her work in mission parishes. So I connected with her to get an address, and yesterday I shipped our retired book on to its new life out west.
As I was taping the box, it occurred to me that there's a powerful principle at work in sending this book on to those who need it. And that principle is directly tied to the theme of this year's stewardship campaign: More Than Enough.
As God's witnesses in this world, we are on the front edge of announcing to the world that there is always more than enough, for everyone. In the presence of Jesus, everything becomes what it is meant to be, everything grows into its full stature, everyone has enough, and there is plenty leftover.
May the people of South Dakota be blessed just as we have been blessed.
Faithfully,
Fr. George
