Greetings Church Family,

It may be hard to believe, but Saturday, March 20th, marks the first day of Spring. I know we have had snow, sleet, and freezing rain in March and April in years past, even though it was technically Spring. But for all intents and purposes, I am going to look at this change in season, starting this Saturday, with hope. If there is anything we could use right now, it is hope. Hope for a better today, tomorrow, hope for a better future. "

This time last year, the world was shutting down. We had no idea what to expect or what we would experience. Many people have experienced heartache, hardship, fear, anxiety, and worry. This is a new year, and change is on the horizon.

What did you want to do last year that you weren’t able to do until now? What brings you peace? I am requesting that you find time for yourself. Do something that you enjoy. Don’t wait until tomorrow to do what you enjoy. We are not promised tomorrow. Do something for yourself today. Brighten your own day for a change. When you take care of yourself, you are better able to help someone else.

As for me, I am going to start working in my woodshop again. This brings me peace. Have a great week, and Happy Spring! To God be the glory! Amen!

Order forms will be available in the Narthex. Simply fill out the form along with your payment and place in the offering box. Flowers are: $12.00 each and choices are:

7” daffodil

7” tulip

Flowers may be taken home after service

The Gathering will meet after service to create an Easter craft for the residents of Christian Village. Bring your lunch and join us for some fun and fellowship. Donation of a bag of wrapped Easter candy would be appreciated.

Sanctuary Open for Prayer

Wednesday, March 24

9:00am - 6:00pm

Sanctuary is open for Prayer.

Take time out of your day to spend time alone in the Sanctuary to read a devotion, a scripture, or sit in silence. Copies of the Upper Room will be available for you. Be sure to visit the Lenten Stations throughout the church. The sanctuary is arranged for social distancing. Wear your mask. Masks are available if needed.

A message from John Schmidt, Trustee Chair

Recently, the church received a recall message regarding our AED (automated external defibrillator). We did receive a rebate, but it did not cover the full cost of a new machine. We are currently reaching out to our church members to help cover the cost of a new AED. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Make sure to note on your check that it's for the AED.
