Memories That Inspire….

This coming Wednesday, we will gather to celebrate the truly remarkable life of Lillian Van Kempema. It promises to be quite a party. After all, Lil loved to be with friends. Not surprisingly, Lil made dear and lasting friendships in every chapter of her life. It is only fitting that as Lil is laid to rest beside her beloved Wally, on their wedding anniversary, that we hold a party in her honor. In many ways, Wally and Lil epitomized the uncompromising spirit and unwavering hope that enabled Church of Four Seasons United Methodist to go from a seemingly impossible idea to a fruitful community of faith. Perhaps, most importantly, Wally and Lil loved this Church. Wednesday’s party in honor of Lillian will be a time of laughter, joyful remembrances, and genuine love. May it also be a time when we look to the legacy of Wally and Lil for inspiration as we write the next chapter in the journey that is Church of Four Seasons United Methodist.

Blessings,
Pastor Tom
