Important message:

Upon advisement from the Town Marshall, Pastor Tom and the Chair of the Trustees have changed the protocol regarding our policy for locking and unlocking the building.

Because the safety of our staff and congregation is a top priority, effective immediately, the front doors and the Agape doors will be locked not only during the week but on Sunday mornings as well. We will allow time for latecomers, of course, for worship services.

A Message from Pastor Tom…

What exactly is a God sighting? After all, God’s presence is constant and intimate. That is the very essence of grace. So, no, a God sighting is not about searching for a hidden God. It is simply about recognizing God’s Spirit in all things and during all circumstances encountered in our human journey. And a God sighting is often experienced through another person. Church of Four Seasons United Methodist is a prime example. Each day, I see people connecting with God to accomplish amazing things. This month alone, our garden ministry was reimagined to serve our local food pantries, services at Crown Point Christian Village were held for the first time in well over one year, and Sunday School is being launched. In fact, there are so many people connecting with God’s Spirit that one can hardly imagine all the possibilities to build new relationships with Jesus Christ. In truth, God has guided this community of faith since a few quietly courageous individuals had a most improbable dream and a story to tell. Let’s now open our hearts to God as we continue to tell that story and pursue that improbable dream.

Church is hard for the prodigal soul returning home, broken and battered by the world.

I am calling you to join me during our upcoming FREE Spiritual Disciplines retreats on Saturday, September 25. During the retreats, participants will gain an understanding of what Spiritual Disciplines are; experience hands-on practices; practically apply the practices to everyday living; be encouraged and equipped to start/revitalize Spiritual Discipline groups in their local congregations; connect with others that practice Spiritual Disciplines; and reconnect with United Methodists from across the District. Community Garden Update

The Produce giveaway will now focus on delivering the freshly picked produce to local food pantries. But you can also pick some produce for yourself. So on Sunday, after service, grab a bag and go to the garden. The tomatoes, cucumbers, and lettuce are ready to be picked.

Communication Update

Beginning in September, we will occasionally send convenient text message reminders and alerts to our membership. To opt-out of those messages at any time, reply with STOP, and you will be removed from all messaging. Your text messages will be from 87447, the number assigned to our church.

Winfield Township Food Pantry and Hebron Country Pantry need the following items: Hamburger Helper, gravy mix, canned tomato and cream of chicken soup, canned ravioli (a kid favorite), boxed macaroni and cheese, spaghetti pasta, and bathroom tissue. Your donations will help meet the needs of those in need in our community.
