Analysis of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s publicly available inspection and citation data can help employers forecast and spot enforcement trends and changes. To assist employers, GLGA member Ogletree Deakins has developed the OSHA Tracker, with easy-to-use search tools and filters to convert OSHA data into more digestible and useful information. BMI Releases Industry Barometer Survey Results for December
The Book Manufacturers’ Institute (BMI) released the December results for its monthly survey on capacity and lead times for soft cover and hard cover books. This month held fairly steady on capacities but showed lead times continuing to decline. Read more.
The Continued Importance of PPP Appeals
Paycheck Protection Program borrowers can apply for forgiveness of their PPP loans any time up until the loan maturity date (2025 in many cases), and borrowers continue to receive denials of forgiveness for both first- and second-draw PPP loans. Printing Industry Performance and Insights Study - October Survey Reports Now Available FREE for GLGA Members
Thank you to everyone who participated in the October 2022 Print Industry Performance and Insights survey. The PIPI studies are a joint project of 15 regional printing industry affiliates, including GLGA, and was conducted through the Jones College of Business at Middle Tennessee State University.

The results from this survey are now available as a set of three reports The first is a look at how the paper shortage situation is affecting companies and customers, with actionable suggestions. The second, "Connecting a Comprehensive Strategic Approach to Printing Firm Performance," provides execution tips. And, the third presents the big picture view of the industry including revenue trends, COVID recovery, inflation effects and business outlook.
