Postal Service Merges 3 Ground Delivery Products Into 1 Brand
The U.S. Postal Service said on February 10 it is proposing to merge three ground delivery products into a new brand known as USPS Ground Advantage, which will offer two- to five-day transit times with pound, ounce-based and cubic pricing options for parcels weighing up to 70 pounds. The product is aimed at shippers willing to sacrifice speed for price. Read more on Freightwaves.com.
Graphic Arts Employment Flat or Declining in December
Overall printing employment was essentially flat in December 2022, being down -0.1 percent from November, and essentially unchanged from December 2021. Production employment was up +0.4 percent while non-production employment was down -1.1 percent from November. Read more in this analysis on WhatTheyThink.com.
Top 10 Provisions in the Latest Retirement Reform Act
Congress enacted landmark retirement legislation known as SECURE 2.0 that will incentivize individuals to save for retirement, while increasing access to workplace plans. February 2023 PIPI Study Is Open – Building Financial Benchmarks
Industry financial benchmarks help in budgeting, making strategic decisions, and finding a path to high performance. So, we are excited about the February PIPI survey, which will build financial benchmarks for printing firms. But there’s more to the story: we will build those financial benchmarks for different segments in our industry, such as commercial digital printers, commercial sheetfed printers, label printers, web printers, and others.

The survey is now open. Printing company leaders, please take the survey and help us develop knowledge that will help you! You will need your 2022 annual income statement and year-end balance sheet. All data will be kept confidential.

Deadline to participate is Monday, March 13.
