Standard Business Mileage Rate Will Increase for the Second Half of 2022
The IRS recently announced that it’ll increase the standard mileage rate for qualified business driving for the second half of 2022. Beginning July 1, 2022, the standard mileage rate for business travel will be 62.5 cents per mile, up 4 cents. Read more by GLGA member LB Carlson.

SBA Loan Forgiveness for PPP And EIDLs
PPP borrowers can apply for forgiveness up until the point at which the loan matures—two years for loans originated before June 5, 2020, or five years for those issued after that date. While it’s best to apply for forgiveness before the payment deferral period ends (10 months after the end of the covered period), borrowers also must wait until they spend all of the loan proceeds they want forgiven. Chicago Updates Sexual Harassment Prevention Law
Effective July 1, 2022, all Chicago employers will need to implement the new sexual harassment policy and training policies as adopted in the recent amendments to the Chicago Human Rights Ordinance. Read more by GLGA member Husch Blackwell.

Since we are no longer in the bindery business, we have a 5 knife trimmer that is now not needed. It worked very well on one of our lines.
