This quarterly study is a joint project of 16 regional printing industry affiliates, including GLGA, and was conducted through the Jones College of Business at Middle Tennessee State University.

In March 2022, all printing employment was up +0.6 percent from March. This time, it was production employment that was up (+1.6 percent) and non-production employment that was down (-0.9 percent). Read more in this data analysis on WhatTheyThink.com.

On May 20, 2022, the Illinois Department of Labor released the anticipated proposed administrative rules to implement Section 11 of the Illinois Equal Pay Act requiring businesses of 100 or more employees to file an application for an Equal Pay Registration Certificate (EPRC). In 2021, the paper recycling rate climbed to 68 percent, a rate on par with the highest rate previously achieved.
