SEROKA REVIEWS PORT'S STRONG NOVEMBER CARGO VOLUMES; TALKS TARIFFS, LABOR, AND LOGISTICS WITH OCEAN SERVICES' VP

WOMEN-LED CLIMATE UNITED LAUNCHES $250 M ZERO-EMISSION TRUCK PROGRAM

Los Angeles-based Climate United in a press release has announced a new program to offer affordable leasing options to small fleets and independent operators to lower operational costs and reduce air pollution in port communities, beginning at the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles, with the intention to expand nationally.
The Port of Los Angeles confirmed that it has received two proposals in response to the Request For Proposals (RFP) issued in June of this year. The RFP, which closed on November 12, is to build and operate a new Outer Harbor Cruise Terminal, as well as to redevelop and operate the existing World Cruise Center. The proposed new Outer Harbor Cruise Terminal site – a cornerstone project in the recently approved San Pedro Waterfront Connectivity Plan – is located at 3011 Dave Arian Way in San Pedro and includes Berths 46 to 50.
PORT OF LA ON TRACK FOR POTENTIALLY RECORD YEAR OF CARGO MOVEMENT
The Port of Los Angeles moved an estimated 9.3 million Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units as of November, a 19% increase over the same month last year, and officials anticipate reaching 10 million by the end of the year, officials said Tuesday.
The Port of Los Angeles saw an increase of more than 15% in cargo this November compared to the same month in 2023 as it prepares for an uncertain 2025. The Port of Long Beach, meanwhile, reported its busiest November ever.
