The Port of Los Angeles handled 855,652 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) in January, the second-best start to the year on record. Eclipsed only by the pandemic-induced cargo surge in 2022, it was the sixth consecutive month of year-over-year increases and surpassed January 2023 by 18%.

Officers with the Los Angeles Port Police Crime Unit today arrested three individuals in connection with multiple occurrences of stolen bronze plaques throughout the Harbor and greater Los Angeles Area. The subjects were arrested during a traffic stop in Southwest Los Angeles.

PORT OF LOS ANGELES TO HOLD COMMUNITY WORKSHOP ON PROPOSED WILMINGTON YOUTH AQUATIC CENTER

The Port of Los Angeles will host a community workshop on the proposed development of a Wilmington Youth Aquatic Center, from 5:30-7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 29 at the Wilmington Recreation Center, located at 325 N. Neptune Avenue. The workshop is open to the public with Spanish translation available.

The Port of LA has released an Initial Study/Notice of Preparation (IS/NOP) – the first step in the environmental review process – for the proposed Port of Los Angeles and Port of Long Beach Goods Movement Workforce Training Facility. The Port of Los Angeles is the lead agency under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).

COMMUNITY MEMBERS JOIN ELECTED OFFICIALS IN GRAND OPENING OF WILMINGTON WATERFRONT PROMENADE

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, hundreds of community members joined Port of Los Angeles officials on February 3, to celebrate the grand opening of the $77.3 million Wilmington Waterfront Promenade, a nine-acre project creating a “window on the waterfront” for the community.
