If you have never experienced the famous LA Fleet Week® Memorial Day Weekend celebration, now’s your chance! Free and open to the public, this multi-day celebration of our nation’s military will run from Friday, May 23, through Monday, May 26, on the LA Waterfront at the Port of Los Angeles.
Featuring tons of fun activities, exhibits, and entertainment for the whole family, this year, LA Fleet Week will salute the 250th anniversary of the US Navy, Marine Corps, Army, and Merchant Marines, all established in 1775.

GALLEY WARS RETURNS TO LA FLEET WEEK: CELEBRATING THE 250th ANNIVERSARY OF
US ARMED SERVICES
| On Saturday, May 24, over Memorial Day Weekend, as part of LA Fleet Week 2025®, "Galley Wars: Celebrating the 250th Anniversary of US Armed Services" culinary competition will take place on the fantail of the Battleship IOWA at the Port of Los Angeles. Fox Entertainment returns as the presenting sponsor for this live grill-off featuring two-person teams from the US Navy, US Marines, US Coast Guard, and joining for the first time this year, the Los Angeles Fire Department and the Los Angeles Port Police.

WEST COVINA HIGH SCHOOL ESPORTS TEAM INVITED TO PRESTIGIOUS U.S. NAVY ROCKET LEAGUE TOURNAMENT AS PART OF

The Port of Los Angeles handled 842,806 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) in April, 9.4% more than last year. After four months, the Port of Los Angeles has processed 3,346,853 TEUs, 6.2% more than the same period in 2024.

The Propeller Club of Los Angeles-Long Beach is offering scholarships ranging from $250 to $1,000 for graduating high school seniors.
Starting in 2025, the Board will introduce an additional scholarship in honor of John Ochs, continuing the club’s commitment to supporting students and honoring outstanding individuals in the maritime community.
This scholarship is open to high school seniors currently residing in and/or attending schools located in the cities of Long Beach, Lakewood, San Pedro, Wilmington, Harbor City or Carson and demonstrating deserving academic records, outstanding citizenship and school and community service.
The Propeller Club 2025 Scholarship application deadline is Friday, June 13, 2025.
