UMPIRE RESOURCES: ONDECK!
Rule Summaries Now Available!
The rules of baseball are complex. To support good understanding of the rules, the Umpires Committee has created a series of one-page rules summaries designed to give you all of the key information about various rules at a glance.
These are now available in the Umpire Zone of the ONDeck app. Topics include Infield Fly, Appeals, Base Awards, Catcher’s Interference, Intentionally Dropped Balls, Foul Tip vs Foul Ball, Umpire Interference, Obstruction, and more. Additional Rule Summaries will be added throughout the season.
Whether you’re an umpire, coach, player, or fan, these concise summaries of complex rules will help you improve your baseball rules knowledge.

INAUGURAL 9U HOUSE LEAGUE
PROVINCIAL TOURNAMENT
Visit the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame - and play ball!
House league teams in Ontario have something extra to look forward to this season: a chance to visit the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in St. Marys and play in a tournament designed just for them.
The Select Division of Baseball Ontario is organizing a round-robin style event Aug. 5-7 for any house league teams who would like to attend. This will be a fun tournament where participation is the rule – it is not a championship event and Select teams are not eligible.
After your games, you can visit the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame. Learn more about the Canadian connections of famous major leaguers.
