Message from Ms. Hanson

Despite the frigid temperatures, it has been a warm and welcoming first week here at Cushing! This week kicked off our Habit of Mind focus for February. During the month of February, Cushing Stars will be working on Taking Responsible Risks. Here are some examples of what that could look like:

Today, students will be bringing home an envelope containing results from winter reading and math assessments. These assessments help us track academic growth over time, yet it is important to remember that these results are only a “snapshot in time” of your learner’s overall performance. Along with your child’s results, you will find a letter to help further explain the data you are receiving. Please feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher or principal if you have any questions or concerns.

Rach Family Meal Train

Meal prep, cooking, and newborns don't really go together. Fortunately for Mrs. Rach and her family, Food is our Love Language. To help the Rach family as they navigate their new crew and day-to-day life, we have put together a Meal Train and will be delivering food on Wednesdays through the rest of the school year. Meals, snacks, and gift cards can be dropped off at Cushing Elementary.
