Message from Mrs. Rach
We have been enjoying the (relatively) warmer weather here at Cushing.  Your child may have shared that one of the recess options students have during the winter months is sledding!  We learned about how to safely sled at Cushing and used the sleds for the first time this week.  A special thanks to our Star Council fifth graders for proposing the need for new sleds to our PTO and to our PTO for purchasing the new sleds.

Clothes Donations
Thank you to those who have donated clothing to our Health Room!  We have enough extras right now, so your donations are no longer needed.

Snow Pants & Boots
Please have your child(ren) bring their snow gear bag to school EVERY day. As long as it’s zero and above (with wind chill), students will be getting some fresh air.

5K-3rd Grade: Snow Pants AND boots must be worn to play in the snow. If a student forgets their snow gear, they will stay on the blacktop for recess. This can cause lots of tears, so please remind your student to bring their snow gear to school every day.

4th & 5th Grade:  Boots are required, Snow Pants are optional for recess.

**Reminder - Snow Gear MUST go home every day. We need to keep the hallways clear for our evening cleaning crew. Plus, wet snow gear doesn’t dry well at Cushing (it can get smelly, too).**
